First Look at Woody Woodpecker Movie

First Look at Woody Woodpecker Movie
According to IMDb, Woody Woodpecker is coming to theaters in 2017 in his first ever movie. Which is odd, since we've heard little to nothing at all about it. Today, we have a look at the annoying bird courtesy of Imp Awards. This one-sheet is for international audiences, which has us wondering if this is even going to get a proper release on America shores.

The Woody Woodpecker movie is taking on an environmentally conscious theme, and will tackle social issues with a deft hand at the comedy fans have come to know and love. The plot finds the hyperactive red-head entering a turf war with a big city lawyer who wants to tear down his home. This is all in an effort to build a house to flip. From the poster, we'd assume that this is a fully animated CGI movie. But we'd be wrong, as it's listed as being

34 Wtf Moments From WWE Raw (Jan 11)

WWE.com

Brock Lesnar was due to be back in town, so this episode of WWE Raw was bound to be off the scale. It always is when the Beast Incarnate is around.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s return would inevitably see him announce his inclusion in the Royal Rumble with the sole aim of taking back the championship. There’s no doubting that we’re in for an extensive promo from Paul Heyman followed by a stare down at the very least between Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Will Vince McMahon be on the show this week? There’s no doubt that the Chairman of the Board’s return to television this new year has made for a better show all round so I’m hoping that he’s back as a permanent fixture for the rest of time.

How would Vinnie Mac and Stephanie make Reigns’ life torrid this week?

43 Wtf Moments From WWE Raw (Jan 4)

WWE.com

The first WWE Raw of 2016 looked set to be a bumper edition.

First of all, we were set for another few hours of Vince McMahon. Who doesn’t want that, right?

The Chairman of the Board returned last week to call out Roman Reigns, but ended up getting himself arrested after putting his hands on an officer. Then we saw some terrible acting from Stephanie McMahon that I haven’t yet recovered from, before the Vin man secured his bail from jail.

He returned to the arena at the end of the night to announce that Sheamus would be challenging for Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship on this week’s episode – with McMahon himself stepping in as guest referee.

I’m praying he turns up in sleeveless Attitude Era referee McMahon used to…

On top of that we had the threat of another United States Championship match between

Palm Springs Toasts Oscar Hopefuls on Night Full of Stars

Palm Springs Toasts Oscar Hopefuls on Night Full of Stars
Honorees at the Palm Springs Film Festival gala were campaigning and practicing their awards speeches Saturday night.

Chairman of the Board recipient Matt Damon suggested his “The Martian” director Ridley Scott, for instance, was overdue even though he had helmed an Oscar best picture winner in “Gladiator.”

“There are only a handful of master directors on the planet and Ridley is one of them.”

As the last honoree of the night, Damon may have felt pressure to wrap up, especially with some empty tables before him.

“There’s a bunch of people I want to thank, but I won’t do it here, I’ll do it privately,” he said.

Earlier Cate Blanchett, who accepted the actress Desert Palm Achievement Award from Saoirse Ronan, said Todd Haynes and the “Carol” team had “set the bar so high I don’t know where to go as an actress.”

She took time to praise Ronan,

12 Days of Bingeing? December Gets Busy With TV Series Premieres

12 Days of Bingeing? December Gets Busy With TV Series Premieres
Television’s Christmas vacation has been canceled.

The month of December used to be consigned to reruns, hoary holiday specials, movies and classic TV marathons. Network execs were loathe to launch any major priorities in the month because of the conventional wisdom that potential viewers were too distracted by holiday-related pursuits.

But a quick look at the premiere schedule for the final four weeks of the year underscores how busy the frame has become for new and returning series premieres.

NBC has its highest-profile new comedy of the season, the Eva Longoria starrer “Telenovela,” getting a showcase preview with two episodes airing Dec. 7 behind the penultimate episode of “The Voice’s” winter season. “Superstore,” the America Ferrera-Ben Feldman workplace comedy that has generated solid advance buzz, opens for business with two episodes airing on Nov. 30, also behind “The Voice.”

Superstore” and “Telenovela” will settle into their regular Monday 8 p.
