Alyssa Milano said she was surprised by the way Ice-T reacted on the shooting scene, explaining most actors would have done it differently. When she confronted him, he responded that shooting scenes in real life are like that.
Ice-T had composed an instrumental musical score for this film that wasn't used. The compositions instead appeared on an CD entitled "Below Utopia: The Lost Score".
Body Count is also the name of Ice-T's heavy metal band, which were still active at the time the movie was released. They broke up several years later in 2006, but since 2009 they have reformed.
