Storyline

Young vicar Mr. Paul arrives at the Faroe Islands to take up a benefice, and meets the young Barbara, twice married to vicars, and with both husbands laid cold in the grave. Despite the warnings of the surrounding community and his own religious scruples, he falls victim to Barbara's at once innocent and sinful charm. The appearance of the charming and gallant Andreas Heide in Thorshavn puts their love to the severest of tests.

Extraordinary Scenery.

Filmed on The Faroes Islands, a story of a complicated woman who thinks it's possible to love everybody. She takes all men to madness. As you might notice, it's a poor story but the perfomance of the artists is good. The highlight of this movie is the scenery. The reconstruction of the atmosphere of the Faroes on the 18th century is great and anyways the landscape of these islands is absolutely amazing.
