The basic plot of this show was that Weird Al was coming to you from a split-level cave twenty miles below the surface of the earth, along with his pet, Harvey The Wonder Hamster. Each show would have a rather loose plot around which strange and weird things would happen. Written by

The show's theme song contains the lyrics, "Well, the very next year he met a dental hygienist with a spatula tattooed on her arm." This is a double reference to UHF (1989) where Al's girlfriend was a dental hygienist played, and in which a "Spatula City" skit/ad also appears. See more »
Hey, Corky, what brings you around here?
I was wondering if I could borrow a box of smelly socks.
What do you need smelly socks for?
Actually, it's more the box I need.

Why'd they take this show off the air. It was the'90's version of "Pee-wee's Playhouse". I am a very big "Weird Al" fan, and I was very disappointed when they took it off the air. I got the new "Weird Al" CD, and I get kind of upset when I listen to the show's theme song on the CD. They should put "The 'Weird Al' Show" back on TV.
