Parents Guide for
"Stargate SG-1" (1997) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

In the first episode of the show there is an extended scene of complete female nudity showing full frontal and buttox.

There is a remake of the first episode which removes this nudity although the scene still exists with shots showing a bare back etc. But in the remake there are no visible breasts, pubic area or buttox unlike the original.

Other episodes there are sexual scenes and references, and offscreen sexual content, but no "18+"-material.

Violence & Gore

Throughout the show there are plenty of violent scenes, and because of the length of the show, the severity of the violence varies. Mostly, the "killing scenes" deals with people getting shot, but without much blood, although some episodes are more violent, and in those, there can be much blood and gore. It is very different, depending on the episode.

Profanity

some language h**y cr*p s words d words h words,SOB nothing too serious.

Maybe some drinking and smoking, usually responsibly and without drunk violence.

In a few cases, there might be some scenes that younger audiences should avoid watching. For example, in the first episode of the show, an alien parasite is seen taking control of a screaming woman, by burrowing a hole in her back and entering. In season nine a soldier is seen falling to the ground as a horde of bugs cover him and devour him alive. That is not seen in detail, and very few of scenes like this occur on the show, but young children should watch with caution.
