General Hospital Actress To Nurse A Two and a Half Men Heart

19 April 2013 2:18 PM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

Ready for a little Two and a Half Men spoiler? Get ready! Former General Hospital actress Julie Marie Berman is coming to town! Hey, Alan, I think she’s single.

For about 8 years, Berman brought to life Lulu Spencer for General Hospital, but ER and Boston Public are also on her resume. Lulu, the Port Charles-born blonde, was once cryogenically frozen in one of the soap opera’s crazier story lines. Pretty nifty, no?

Just the opposite can be expected when she comes to the Two and a Half Men set. Berman is going to heat things up instead. TVLine has confirmed that the actress will be a “micro guest” the May 2 episode. Her character is a pretty girl in a bar who with catch Alan’s fancy. Good luck with that, Alan! I know you’ll find some way to screw up your chances. But don’t worry. »

Melissa Archer brings feisty Llanview redhead Natalie Buchanan back to life when "One Life To Live" returns on April 29, thanks to Prospect Park's The Online Network.

Before the show bowed out on ABC in January 2012, Natalie had found love again with her baby daddy, John McBain. But, after actor Michael Easton made the leap to "General Hospital's" Port Charles, where his character shared a brief romantic moment with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), photo proof of which was sent to Natalie courtesy of her uncle Todd Manning (Roger Howarth), Natalie and John's romantic fate took a nose dive.

Daytime Emmys: ‘General Hospital’ Celebrates 50th Anniversary

2 April 2013 7:00 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Even if  ”General Hospital,” ABC’s remaining daytime drama, weren’t turning 50 this year, it would still be worthy of a shoutout at the Daytime Emmys.

In addition to celebrating five decades of production, “General” (which debuted on April 1, 1963) is enjoying a creative resurgence that’s generated improved ratings and critical acclaim.

ABC reports that “General” is pacing for its best season in five years in total viewers, averaging more than 3 million. “General” is the No. 1 broadcast daytime program among women 18-34 and also up 18% in total viewers season to season.

The credit for the turnaround goes to exec producer Frank Valentini and head writer Ron Carlivati, who joined the show in early 2012.

Much of the pair’s long-term vision came to fruition with episodes featuring the return of the Nurses’ Ball, an event within the show’s storylines that began back in 1994. The gala serves as an AIDS fundraiser, »
