Danielle Harris was quite nervous about shooting the table-dance scene (which actually doesn't appear in most TV versions), so she asked if she could choose the people who are sitting at the table. She picked the boys who would be most uncomfortable watching her as to make herself more comfortable while performing.
Danielle Harris, who plays little sister Hayley, is actually a year and a half older than Katherine Heigl who plays older sister, Alexia.
Danielle Harris was hired three days before shooting began, on the spot at her audition.
Both Katherine Heigl and Danielle Harris have starred in sequels to famous horror movies. Heigl starred in 'Bride of Chucky (1998)(I)' and Harris starred in 'Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)(I)' and 'Halloween 5 (1989)(I)'. Harris had a different supporting role in Halloween (2007)(I) and the sequel.

The boyfriend of one of the sisters, who is also the star basketball player on the team, is actually an incredibly terrible basketball player in real life. Extremely uncoordinated. Filming had to be re-shot an extraordinary amount of times due to his lack of talent with a basketball.

The real name of the High School in this film is actually named Hunter High School. It's located roughly 15 miles west of Salt Lake City in the city of West Valley, Utah. The high school's mascot is actually a Wolverine. Filming took place during regular school hours during the second half of the 1997-1998 school year.
