During the car trip to make the payment Jimmy speaks to Tom about "The time machine" and the two species: Morlocks and Eloi. At a time he states that Morlocks eat the Eloi, so they are cannibals. To be considered cannibalism a member of an species has to eat other member of the same species. So a Morlock eating Elois is not considered cannibalism. Talk about intesne
18 November 2002 | by (Lorton,VA) – See all my reviews

Ransom was one of the best tent pole movies released in late 1996. Ron Howard and Mel Gibson made a film that grabs you and doesn't let go. Rene Russo, Delroy Lindo and Lili Taylor are good in supporting roles and the wonderful Gary Sinse is chilling. Someone needs to release this DVD as a Critertion collection title.
