I've never been a teenage Polish girl but I understand exactly how one feels and thinks after watching this movie. It's a perfect mirror to the post-communist Poland's lifestyle, and in the meantime an outstanding story about the three girls' friendship. The young actresses have an excellent performance together. The movie happens to make you look through Maryszka's eyes and interpret the developments with her feelings.
The director has done a good job throughout the movie, especially the beginning, which in most cases is the hardest part. The scene showing Maryszka "becoming a woman" definitely impacts the viewer and gives him the feeling "Hey this is going to be interesting!". Many aspects of daily life take place in the movie throughout, but the main theme rotates around Maryszka's turning heterodox because of her friends and then the betrayal she faces. A must for any keen cinema enthusiast.
