Trivia

As there was only one B-17 available, the shot of the bombers in formation was made using multiple exposures. (The same technique was used to show the Colonial Battlestar fleet at the beginning of Battlestar Galactica: Saga of a Star World (1978).) See more »

Quotes

Group Captain Barker: [Chasing after Hewitt] Look, Jack, I realise you don't relish the prospect of sharing a base with us.
Hewitt: [Stops and turns to face Barker] Whatever gave you that idea?
Group Captain Barker: [Stopping in front of Hewitt] Oh, just the way that every time it's mentioned, your face takes on the pinched expression of a man with a mackeral up his arse!

Over Here
28 September 2005 | by (England) – See all my reviews

This was a really brilliant, funny and very poignant wartime drama, well what else can you expect from our greatest comedy writer John Sullivan. It boasted a great cast of both British and American actors (two of my personal favourites being the incredible Martin Clunes and the equally incredible, and rather gorgeous, Corey Johnson!). To be honest, I'm amazed it hasn't been released yet (or even repeated), what with all the D-Day celebrations of last year and this year's V.E. day celebrations. It would be brilliant if the BBC would consider releasing it, from reading comments on the web, I'm sure it would prove a very popular choice!
