Trivia

The gun smuggled on board the airliner by Mr. Contingency is the same non-metallic weapon used by Booth, the would-be presidential assassin in the Clint Eastwood movie, In the Line of Fire (1993). See more »

Goofs

In the scene with the grenade, the bad guy initially picks up and holds a comparatively newer M26/M61 model grenade. In remaining shots of the same sequence, it suddenly becomes a WWII vintage MK2 "pineapple". (Spoiler here) Also, as Saiko is falling, palms open, her hands are clearly empty. Once she's lying down, she opens her hand and lets go of the grenade. See more »

Mary: He was a D-Type. Sub-A.
Zack Grant: Hey, he kicked Klingon ass, baby.
Mary: He was always breaking the prime directive, Picard never breaks the prime directive.

I found this quite entertaining
4 May 2002 | by See all my reviews

Judging by previous comments, my expectations for this film were zero. However, I was quite entertained by it. Yes, it has it's rough spots, and 'Oh, come ON' spots, but lots of the dialogue was funny, and the violence was minimal once you got past the set-up. Pretty standard plot, but Russell Crowe is always good, and Helen Slater as the air-line attendant was great. Made me laugh, made my son laugh. Not worth a $9 movie ticket, but well worth a video rental and a bowl of popcorn.
