An award winning producer, and one of Hollywood's most powerful players, Paula Wagner is perhaps best known for her long association with Tom Cruise, having formed Cruise/Wagner Productions with the star in 1993. The company produced many of Cruise's films of the '90s and 2000s, including the 'Mission: Impossible' series, 'Minority Report' and 'War of the Worlds'.

Ms. Wagner began her career as an agent at Creative Artists Agency in La, where, in addition to Cruise, she represented actors and directors such as Oliver Stone, Demi Moore and Val Kilmer. She had the day off from shooting Jack and Jill, which she filmed on Monday with a pajama-clad Suri. You got us good, Mission: Impossible 4...real good. We.ve seen a few shots of Cruise on set in varying positions whether he be swinging from the Burj Khalifa, the world.s tallest building is Dubai, or dressed like a non-descript cop, but these are the least exciting pictures we.ve gotten of him from set so far. However, in the set of pics at AccidentalSexiness we get our first looks at the incomparable Simon Pegg and co-star Paula Patton, neither of which are doing anything very substantial. Though Pegg does look very concerned about...something. Perhaps it's Cruise.s wife beater. Mission: Impossible »

Mission: Impossible 4 Photos of Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg & Paula Patton

14 December 2010 12:13 PM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, the fourth Tom Cruise super spy film and first sequel to drop the number from its title, is currently shooting for its late 2011 release.

The new images feature franchise star Tom Cruise, 48 years young but still in great action hero shape, as well as co-stars Simon Pegg and Paula Patton in cold Vancouver outdoor weather after moving production over to Canada from Dubai.

Ghost Protocol is touted as being the potential start to a new direction (and lead star) for the franchise, with newfound Hollywood A-lister Jeremy Renner joining the cast of M:I4 with the objective of the studio to have him take over the series from Cruise. Along with the powerful addition of Renner, fan-favorite Lost star Josh Holloway and Just Wright’s…

Tom Cruise Packs on the Muscle

He may be shooting a new " Mission: Impossible " flick, but the only guns on set with Tom Cruise yesterday were his arms. Cruise was spotted showing off his muscles while filming " Ghost Protocol " in Vancouver -- and they've certainly been getting a workout, as Tom has been doing a lot of his own stunts for the movie. Though they traveled with him to Prague for filming in September, Katie Holmes and Suri weren't on set this week -- Katie's been shooting her new movie with Adam Sandler in L.A. Read more »

The Biggest Shockers from the 2011 Golden Globe Nominations

14 December 2010 8:30 AM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

Every year, the Golden Globes prove a fun prelude to the Academy Awards, where knowing the winners helps even the odds for all you Otb types. It also provides a looser, anything-can-happen atmosphere of drunken debauchery.

This morning they announced the nominees for the 2011 Golden Globes, and as expected “The King’s Speech” got the most pre-Oscar glory.

But who scored, and who got snubbed? From a “True Grit” shutout to a “Tourist” takeover(?!), here are the biggest shockers from this morning’s Globes nominations.

The Tourist’ is Golden?

In one of the goofier outcomes this year, the past weekend’s much crapped-upon box-office flounderer “The Tourist” got a nod for Best Picture (Musical or Comedy) plus acting nominations for its A-list leads, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp (not a huge surprise, considering the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has a reputation for honoring mega-stars, despite their worthiness or lack thereof »

Tom Cruise braved the chilly Vancouver set of Mission: Impossible 4 in a tank top yesterday, showing us just a hint of the physique that landed him among our most memorable shirtless men of the year. He took production to Canada after filming in Prague and Dubai in the Fall where he worked alongside costar Jeremy Renner. While Tom's been busy traveling around the globe, his wife Katie Holmes has been taking care of things at home. The Notable Films of 2011: Part One

13 December 2010 7:39 AM, PST | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

Back for its third year (see the 2010 edition) and bigger than ever, today kicks off the first in a fifteen-part look at the various cinematic releases hitting the U.S. in 2011. Each 'part' contains brief descriptions and editorial opinion/analysis of varying length covering twenty films. Expect the remaining ones to go up between now and the first major releases in mid-January.

Like all cinematic lists set within a timeframe, there's some overlap. Some films here have already opened worldwide but have yet to hit the U.S., some upcoming films you'd expect to be here aren't because they're either still in development or have already announced 2012 release dates, some were on last year's list but got delayed so have been included again (but with all new analysis).

I confined my list to films that have either set 2011 release dates or had begun/completed production, and only films that have »

[DVD Review] Knight and Day

13 December 2010 1:43 AM, PST | JustPressPlay.net | See recent JustPressPlay news »

Tom Cruise became an action star in his own right in the 90s. He wasn’t the typical strong, burly gun-toting heavy that earned the reputations for Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, or Arnold Schwarzenegger; instead, Cruise played an action hero closer to a character whose real talent was putting the pieces together and then surviving the high-octane chase filled with explosions, trains, motorcycles, and helicopters that would inevitably follow. He’s proven himself a versatile actor across the genres, but Knight and Day sees him returning to his Mission: Impossible glory days and the nostalgia proves to be bittersweet.

The life of June Havens (Cameron Diaz) takes a long series of unexpected twists the day she becomes the focus of secret agent Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) on a mission he learns he wasn’t supposed to survive. But he did and now has in his possession the key to renewable »

Blu-Ray Review: Knight and Day

12 December 2010 5:29 AM, PST | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Knight And Day was another one of those summer blockbusters that I didn’t actually get to review for the site this year. Too much passed me by in 2010, which somewhat fails me as a film critic I know, but I have managed to catch the film on the home formats ahead of release.

I review the James Mangold directed action comedy on the Blu-Ray format, using a Samsung hi-def Bd player, Sony Bravia 40″ HD TV, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound set up, and a pint of London Pride, a new ale for me that I am getting quite a taste for. Important to let readers know the surroundings, circumstances and indeed equipment that I use to bring this review to you.

The film stars Cameron Diaz as June Havens, just an ordinary girl from Boston who is transporting some very rare classic care parts across America. At the airport where she  is taking said flight, »

'Knight And Day' With Tom Cruise Tops Fox

10 December 2010 5:20 PM, PST | Deadline | See recent Deadline news »

Even though the 20th Century Fox film Knight and Day's soft domestic opening left Hollywood and the media second-guessing everything from the title and marketing campaign to the viability of its stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, the film has slowly established itself to become Fox's biggest 2010 release with $262.3 million worldwide gross. The film's $76.4 million domestic gross was considered low for a summer Cruise action vehicle. But the pic rallied overseas with $185.9 million in foreign grosses. While Fox's Date Night and The A-Team did more domestic business, Knight and Day's overseas gross placed it ahead of those films and demonstrates the value stars still have overseas. Of course, the studio's biggest movie revenue source for 2010 was Avatar, but that film was released in 2009 as was Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. The offshore gross of Knight and Day did not help the film's perception because most of its »
