Storyline

In the opening credits, a woman has sex, then takes a bath and seemingly slits her wrists by accident. Her lover is revealed to be a college professor, who has problems adjusting to her killing herself after their love-making. She was also his student, which has given him a bad reputation. His problems are compounded by another coed throwing herself at him, a professor intent on getting him thrown out for having sex with his students, and the visions he is having of his dead girlfriend. Decent plot twists
11 August 1999 | by (Houston, Texas) – See all my reviews

I was expecting something more formulaic from this low-budget mystery/psychodrama, but the plotmeister has lots of cards up his sleeve and plays them well. In fact, MIND GAME's storyline is more intriguing and less predictable than many mysteries with ten times the budget. The cast, while not Oscar-class, is appealing and believable. The former child star of TV's "Punky Brewster", a now quite voluptuous Soleil Moon Frye, is an especially welcome addition.
