The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)
The opening Chistmas party resembles the one at the end of It's A Wonderful Life. Hal (Tom Amandes) looks like George Bailey (James Stuart) and there's even a drunken Uncle Billy. It is a clue that her perfect life is a lie. It can also be seen as a set up for the later action in reverse - she begins surrounded by all the people who know and love her and ends up almost dying on a suspension bridge.
