The fourth installment in the long series of sequels to the classic Land Before Time is better than the previous installment, although as you might have guessed already, it is nowhere near as fabulous as the original, which is one of the greatest animated movies ever made, as well as one of my favorite animated movies. This fourth film is better than the third one, as while it is still somewhat childish in a few scenes, it is funny, and has got some darker elements to it, which is just the way the original film was, I'll rate this eight out of ten, meaning that while it is far from flawless, it's got some good things about it.
They probably should have stopped making the series after this film, as they made a lot of sequels, too many as a matter of fact. This one was good, and after this, five, six, and seven were good too, but after that, there was no need to continue, as the series had run its course. This film was enjoyable, but I would have enjoyed it a whole lot more if it had been more darker and edgier like the classic original was. In short, this one was good, but it is definitely not a masterpiece of animated movies. One thing though, the animation is good for a direct to video movie.
This movie isn't as good as I remembered it being. I enjoyed it so much when I was smaller, but now when I'm older and can be more observant, I have a tendency to notice things, and when I watched this, I noticed that it wasn't as good as it was when I watched it during my childhood. Oh well, I still did enjoy it, although it's not as good as the first movie. Oh well, watch this one if you please. Who knows, you may like it a whole lot more than I did, in fact, you may even say that this is the best one in the series, or even better, you may say that this is one of your all time favorite animated movies.
