The year in song in 2013 certainly was a treat for Hindi music fans. With songs ranging to straight-up classical influences, to songs with a Southern tinge plus the new grooves that hit high notes of hard rock, dub step, hip-hop, and punk-rock there was something for everyone. 2013 had some wonderful musical moments and they were not all on the big screen. 2013 certainly seems to be a very important year for Sajid Nadiadwala, as he is busy managing three films at a time, under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd (Ngepl) banner. Imtiaz Ali’s directorial venture, Highway is at the post-production stage and is certainly one of the most anticipated films of the year. Apart from Highway, Sajid is also producing 2 states - with Karan Johar and Heropanti directed by Sabbir Khan. Sajid Nadiadwala will also be making his directorial debut with Salman Khan starrer, Kick which is expected to go on floors soon. Another untitled film under Ngepl banner will star Saif Ali Khan and will be directed by Kabir Khan. All his upcoming films are being shot outside the urban comfort zone of Mumbai.

Salman Khan’s next is Sohail Khan’s ‘Mental’ and very talented Tabu has been roped in to play Salman’s elder sister. Tabu was in news recently for Oscar nominated ‘Life Of Pi’. In the past, Salman and Tabu shared screen space in movies like ‘Jeet’, ‘Biwi No 1’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ though they were not romantically paired opposite each other. The official announcement of the movie is to be made soon. The movie was earlier name ‘Radhe’ but later it changed to ‘Mental’. This is said to be Hindi remake of Telugu movie ‘Stalin’. Even though there are no names that have been confirmed for the female lead, there's news that Tabu will be seen playing Salman's elder sister in the film. The curtains went up on the third season of Celebrity Cricket League with a star studded curtain raiser event which saw performances by Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and hosted by the super witty and humourous Ritesh Deshmukh and Ayushman Khurana. The event was attended by the stalwarts of eight different film industries .
