After the Fantaghiro series, which ended in a disastrously bad 5th part, the director moved on to this new fairy tale.
While it isn't quite as endearing as the original Princess Fantaghiro, this story was nevertheless very good and hugely enjoyable (if you like fairy tales). It's been a few years since I saw it, so I do not recall much of the plot, but I remember enjoying it at the time. And, thankfully, this one is not followed by 4 inferior sequels....
