The more Jim Enright features I see the more impressed I am, as working for the leading companies his movies are often far better than those of the big-name competition (Brad, Ninn, Zen, etc.). This slightly mysterious fantasy film has little depth but is quite arousing.
Emanating from the pre-mobile phone era, it is structured like many a horror movie, with the couple arriving at a mansion for a private party, only to discover that they are prisoners embarking on a sexual adventure (rather than the horror genre's violence or torture). Host Steven St. Croix keeps emphasizing to them that they are free to go, but of course the temptations of the flesh preclude that option.
Star Sterling is among the best performers of her era, a Brit import who got many top roles, here from Wicked Pictures and elsewhere from Adam & Eve. Her supporting cast here is outstanding, with sexy performances by Rebecca Lord and Kylie Ireland calculated to steal the spotlight in various scenes. Biggest surprise is a guest appearance by Jenna Jameson, then top dog in the industry and quite effective participating in a lesbian tryst
