This movie has the same basic plot as The Terminator, in that a young woman holds to key to the future, with one character out to kill her, while another is there to protect her. The differences emerge when you look at the details. in Terminator the villian and hero are from the future, whereas in this movie they are from the past. Although both heros are human, in Terminator the villian is a cyborg, while in Birth of the Wizard the villian is a witch. In the year 1880 the village of Saiga was wiped out in a massacre, only a few elders and an young wizard escaped. At the beginning of the movie we are given this information with no clue as to why this occured. 100 years later a girl is born and a malevolent spirit from the past returns to complete what began a century ago.
