The 'Game of Thrones' & 'Dragonheart' Mash-Up You Deserve

8 June 2015 2:30 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

A movie theme so iconic and over-the-top inspirational, Randy Edelman's theme to the 1996 film Dragonheart has appeared in numerous forms of media including trailers--real and fake, for other films. Taking a very large scene in scale and scope from Game of Thrones' Season 5, Episode 9, we gave over-dubbing a little music from the similarly themed movie starring CGI and the voice of Sean Connery a try. Boy, did it work. 1. Spoilers, duh. 2. Both the scene and the score are untouched once they "fade-in."   »

Wamg Giveaway – Win the Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer’S Curse Blu-ray

9 March 2015 8:28 AM, PDT | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

When I reviewed the Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer’S Curse Blu-ray, I called it “a worthy prequel to the original, incorporating enough of the lore, and some of the score, to please any fan” (read all of my review Here)

Now We Are Movie Geeks has two copies of the Blu-ray to give away. All you have to do is answer this simple question: what is your favorite “Threequel” (Part 3) of any film series? (mine is Toy Story 3)

It’s so easy! Just leave your answer in the comments below and we’ll pick the winners next week. Good Luck!

Dragonheart fans will embark on an all new adventure featuring Ben Kingsley as the voice of Drago the Dragon in Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer’S Curse, which debuted on Digital HD on February 10, 2015, and on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack with Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital HD with Ultraviolet™ and on DVD »

Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer’S Curse – The Blu Review

1 March 2015 6:23 PM, PST | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

Universal Studio’s original 1996 fantasy Dragonheart starred Dennis Quaid as a reformed dragon slayer, and Sean Connery as the voice of the CGI dragon who befriends him. Draco the Dragon was supposedly the last of his kind, and even though he died at the end of the first movie, Universal managed to revive him for a 2000 Dtv sequel Dragonheart: A New Beginning replacing Connery’s voice with that of Robby Benson (who had voiced the Beast for Disney). I’m not sure why it took 15 years for a third installment, but Drago (as he’s called this time) is back in the third installment, Dragonheart: The Sorcerer’S Curse, which is actually a prequel to the original. Ben Kingsley is onboard for this one as the voice of Drago.

Dragonheart: The Sorcerer’S Curse tells the story of Gareth (Julian Morris), a young man training to be a knight. »

The 10 Most Wtf-Worthy Moments From 'The Boy Next Door'

25 January 2015 1:00 AM, PST | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

This week Jennifer Lopez stars in "The Boy Next Door," a suburban psychosexual thriller where Lopez plays a recently separated teacher who has an affair with the (legally of-age) boy next door (Ryan Guzman), only to find her on the receiving end of brutal harassment and some profane graffiti (among other things). This is a movie that is so bad that it eclipse its own awfulness and becomes kind of good again. If I had seen it on opening night, in a packed theater full of screaming, susceptible fans, then I probably would have had the time of my life with it. Instead, I was in a stuffy midtown screening room and while there were certainly jolts of approval from the everyday folks the studio sneaked in, it was hard not to snicker in derision every chance we could.

If you're not going to see "Boy Next Door," or maybe »
