Fairly Entertaining

Get out of town, this isn't a made for tv movie? Seems like it was broken up into the appropriate segments to have commercial breaks. It was a tv movie, I'm (mostly) sure of it. In any case, this wasn't too bad. Yeah, highly predictable but it was fairly entertaining. Most of the acting performances weren't that bad including the kids and the mom & dad. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed Stephanie Zimbalist for about the first time ever out of the dozen or so (TV) movies I've seen her in. Unfortunately, the gang of bad guys was kinda lame. Peter Onorati was okay as the mastermind but not mastermind AND bad, tough dude. His assembled bankrobbing, kidnapping crew were your basic, dumb, murder-hungry, tag-a-long thugs, completely generic that you'd find in plenty of other movies. Watching them I rolled my eyes more often than I thought they were mean & scary. Much of the action was believable and somewhat exciting but best of all, what I loved most, was the scenery... I love the forest and the mountains and thought the locations were just incredible. This is one of those movies that wasn't that special or great but I liked it a lot.

My grade for this: B-
