Arbaaz Khan has said that he is not in competition with his brother Salman. The actor and producer has been cast as the villain in Dinesh Gandhi's film Chatrapati. Speaking to The Times of India, the actor said: "I watched the Telugu original and found it interesting. That is why I decided to take up this project." The actor insisted he had no concerns about playing a villain, saying: "My Bollywood career took off with me playing a negative character in Daraar. Gradually, I became a hero. "But these days, the nature or the length of the role doesn't really matter to me, as long as audiences appreciate the character I have essayed." Jatin Kumar signs Ravi Kissen; forays into Bhojpuri cinema

Shiv Bhakti Films has signed Ravi Kissen for its first Bhojpuri venture to be produced by Jatin Kumar, son of late veteran producer Sujit Kumar, who is known to have given the Hindi film industry some memorable films like Khel, Daraar, Champion and Aetbaar.The untitled movie will be a slick action thriller, expected to go on floors next month.Jatin Kumar's foray in Bhojpuri cinema production gains significance, as in his time, his father Sujit Kumar has been a superstar in Bhojpuri cinema, while his son has now gone ahead and signed the industry's reigning superstar Ravi Kissen, in a clear attempt to bring more glory to his father's name in the industry.Taking off from where his father left, Jatin Kumar plans to make more Bhojpuri films as well as begin a Hindi film next year. »

Bollywood actor-producer Arbaaz Khan, who has been on a high ever since his debut production "Dabangg" turned out to be a blockbuster, will now take the reigns as the director for the sequel of the masala action movie. Director Abhinav Kashyap, who helmed "Dabangg", has decided against directing the sequel, for reasons unknown. "Hey guys it true, I will be directing the sequel of 'Dabangg'. Abhinav for some personal n professional reasons opted out (sic)," Arbaaz posted on his Twitter page Thursday. Arbaaz, who couldn't make it big as an actor thanks to flops like "Daraar" and "Hello Brother", hit the gold with his first production venture. "Scripting has already started, the filming starts by early January. Start sound, camera, action. Inshallah 'Dabangg 2' will live up to all the expectations and be a huge blockbuster because of you all. God bless. Allah hafiz. Dabangg ho!," added the 43-year-old. »
