The Craft Helmer Andrew Fleming To Direct Comedy Guys Night

Writer-director Andrew Fleming has had a curious career wherein he's helmed such campy comedies as Dick and Hamlet 2, but also the '90s teen-witch drama The Craft and the cutesy, family-friendly crime-caper Nancy Drew. Simply put, it's hard to anticipate where Fleming's next project may take him. He's just wrapped on the romance dramedy Barefoot, in which Evan Rachel Wood plays a psychiatric patient who falls for her doctor, and now Variety reports Fleming has inked a deal with Millennium Films to helm their upcoming comedy Guys Night. Chris Baldi's spec script for Guys Night was purchased by Millennium last fall. The feature focuses on four guys with jobs that are going nowhere and romantic relationships that are less than enviable. So when they hear about a mystifying island off the New Jersey coastline where anything goes, it seems like the perfect guys night out getaway. Of course, »

SXSW Preview: 12 Movies We're Psyched to See

7 March 2012 7:00 AM, PST | NextMovie | See recent NextMovie news »

South by Southwest starts on March 9, and Sundance had better watch its back.

Although Park City's film festival still reigns supreme as America's preeminent independent film event, Austin's SXSW is running a close second. The reason? It's cooler. And we're not talking the temperature.

Unlike Sundance, SXSW is not only a film festival, but it also sidelines as one of the hottest music festivals of the year. And let's face it; Austin's got a lot more going on than Park City. When SXSW isn't in full swing, the city remains a movie lover's haven thanks to the celebrated Alamo Drafthouse, run by indie film's coolest cat, Tim League. Austin also boasts a thriving music scene all year round, and is commonly referred to as the live music capital of the world.

Oh, and the film festival? It falls in line. The past few years have seen SXSW premiere such indie hits as "Tiny Furniture, »

The Secret Circle Episode 1.10 - No One Witch Should Have All That Power...

It was over a month ago that The Secret Circle went on hiatus, leaving fans thirsty for more drama from the Chance Harbor witches. Well, the gang is back and tonight they delivered a 1,2 punch to the jaw with Cassie's beginning trek to the dark side and Faye's quest for personal power. Also, we met Diana's grandmother and Charles's mother, Kate (Stepfanie Kramer), an Elder who has the nose of a genetically enhanced greyhound, which didn't bode well for Dawn.

The Devil Inside

The mystery of Cassie's 'darkness' dominated the hour and our undivided attention as we learned just how much powerful Cassie could be. Plus, Dawn and Charles aren't the only adults looking to tap into Cassie's power.
