When I was done watching this film, I first though: why make a 4-hour documentary on something that could easily be done in at least half the time. I was also not very pleased with the camera-work in this film (why zoom in on a plastic frog on the wall or wiggle the camera between some gas-bottles?). But the thing I really do not understand is: why this film. I can't really say that I have learned something about Amsterdam or anything else that I didn't know. You could better spent your time on something else instead of watching this thing.
