The bear cub was found by Heston in a Swedish zoo and was called Agee. It was born in January 1995 and had to be trained. The bear worked well with the two co-stars. See more »
In the initial opening scene we see Jake Barnes flying his Super Cub south over glaciers and high rocky mountains, a feature only seen in the geography of South Alaska. When he checks in via radio, he confirms his location as being one in south-central Alaska. We then see him flying over a group of polar bears. Polar bears are only found along the northern coast of Alaska and Canada and on the Arctic Sea, not in the mountains of south Alaska (almost 1000 miles away). See more »

Hats off to the makers of a refreshing family oriented movie with a wonderful underlying message. Hollywood needs more films like this!
Loved the cinematography. Good character development... believable acting, good casting... overall a pleasant film the whole family watch. It's refreshing to see a well made film that doesn't use un-necessary violence, sex or profanity. Hats off to the whole team! Definitely recommend this film for family viewing. And to top it off there is a wonderful underlying message of hope and core family values... a message we all could stand to see and hear. Entertaining, exciting storyline.
