It is what it is.

Despite obvious budgetary restrictions there is something going on here. It is a disturbing tale of a madman leading a group of clueless adventurers into the heart of his own madness. There's intelligence behind the narrative and an understanding of the cinema: a strange twist on The Searchers, Aguirre: The Wrath of God and The Thing. Though obviously made years back, the film offers works as a unsettling parallel to the Hitler years and what the Bush Administration is doing today in Iraq. You have an innocent group of people – a cross section of today - who have no choice but to follow the person who they perceive to be the strongest among them to their own demise.

Survivalists trapped in rugged mountains battle a snow creature.

This is an ultra low budget movie with lots of intriguing locations and not too bad special effects. The snowman creature looks really well made and adds to the overall feeling of the film. Most of the acting is sub par. The story line is similar to that in Moby Dick where the lead survivalist is hell bent on finding and killing the snow creature, and will use the rest of his group as bait in an attempt to capture the beast.
