Spoilers

The trivia items below may give away important plot points.

Beth Broderick felt her character Zelda was going nowhere and left the show at the end of the sixth season.
The Spellman Family secret is "Every member of the Spellman family is born with a twin."
They had to find a way to have Sabrina's Aunt Zelda be at Sabrina and Aaron's wedding seeing as Beth Broderick had left after season six, so they had her be a candle. The story was that she would be a candle so that Sabrina could see her mother on her wedding day.
In the first episode, on her 16th birthday, Sabrina's dad tells her, "if you set eyes on your mother in the next two years, she'll turn into a ball of wax." So she could see her after she turns 18 but in season 5 after she turns 19, her mother still gets turned into a ball of wax and Sabrina is told she can't ever look at her mother.
