some gems, more duds

There are several great episodes and fine Arcs to this title. Most notable are the episodes dealing with aquitar, the gold ranger and Tommy's quest; these stand out. However, most episodes are, by comparison anyway, quite forgettable. Things just seem so over-the-top.

For example: there is no way on earth that you can actually take the Machine Empire seriously! They do not develop, they show no emotion and declare victory way too quickly. I was 8 years old and I was bored by them. but this is becoming a rant, back to the show.

I have recently re-visited the original, Zeo, Space and timeforce to the best of my ability.And I must say that while the afore-mentioned episodes are memorable, well-written, acted and all that good stuff, I could not sit through most of the others.

Note: I am not taking sides or pointing out mistakes with this next line; it simply clarifies a point "A season to remember" is sometimes considered the final episode, skip that one. "as good as gold" is otherwise considered the final episode. It is worth watching.
