Mike Myers has been busy since his last on-screen appearance in 2009′s Inglorious Basterds: busy painting variations on KFC’s Colonel Sanders, busy making GarageBand tunes, busy raising his two young children. But now he’s coming back to the film industry with his directorial debut, Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon – a documentary that follows talent manager Shep Gordon.

Nancy Lenehan Joins CBS Pilot from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck

Nancy Lenehan has been cast as the family matriarch in “More Time with the Family,” the CBS comedy pilot executive produced by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

The half-hour multicamera project produced by 20th Century Fox Television stars Tom Papa as a husband and father who decides to make a career change so he can, as the show’s title suggests, spend more time with his family. Lenehan (“The New Adventures of Old Christine”) will play Tom’s mother. Joe Pantoliano has already been cast as his father.

The cast also includes Alyson Hannigan, Jack Gore and Zoe Pessin.

Damon and Affleck are exec producing through their Pearl Street shingle. Scribes Josh Goldsmith, Cathy Yuspa and Papa will also exec produce with 3 Arts’ Dave Becky and Josh Lieberman.

Lenehan is repped by Pakula/King & Associates, Imperium 7 Talent Agency and Meghan Schumacher Management.

Tom Papa-Starring Comedy From Ben Affleck & Matt Damon, Cathy Yuspa & Josh Goldsmith Gets CBS Pilot Order

CBS has given a pilot order to More Time With Family, a multi-camera comedy starring comedian Tom Papa. The project, which had a put pilot commitment, was one of the highest-profile comedy packages this season – with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as executive producers, Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith as writers/exec producers and Papa as star. 20th Century Fox TV, where Yuspa and Goldsmith are based, is producing. Based on the stand-up of Papa and the experiences of Damon, More Time With Family centers on a husband and father (Papa) making a career change to spend more time with his family. The project originated with Papa and Damon who had worked together on two movies, The Informant and Behind The Candelabra. They teamed with Damon’s childhood friend and frequent collaborator Affleck, and Yuspa and Goldsmith came on board to write. Directors Guild Announces TV Nominations, Bryan Cranston Takes Two

Bryan Cranston led the way in the Directors Guild of America’s TV nominations with a pair of nods for helming episodes of “Breaking Bad” and “Modern Family.”

The winners will be announced Jan. 25 at the Century Plaza following voting by the DGA’s 15,000 members.

The two nominations for Cranston were his second and third following his DGA nod last year for a “Modern Family” segment last year.

Breaking Bad” scored a second nomination with series creator Vince Gilligan receiving a nod. They will face competition from David Fincher, receiving his sixth DGA nomination for directing “Chapter 1″ of “House of Cards,”  Lesli Linka Glatter for “Homeland” and David Nutter for “Game of Thrones.”

Modern Family” received a pair of comedy series noms for Cranston and Gail Macuso. “The Big Bang Theory” also took two nominations for  Mark Cendrowki and Anthony Rich. Beth McCarthy-Miller took the other nomination for a segment »
