Trivia

This is the first screen version of Jonathan Swift's 1726 novel "Gulliver's Travels" to adapt all four of its parts.
Lemuel and Mary Gulliver are played by real-life married couple Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. This film was the first starring project for either following their 1995 marriage.
James Fox (Dr. Bates) and Edward Fox (General Limtoc) are brothers in real life. Their former sister-in-law Celestia Fox was the miniseries' casting director.
Tom Sturridge (Tom Gulliver) is the son of director Charles Sturridge and Phoebe Nicholls (The Empress of Lilliput).
