Storyline

Noreen helps her brother rob an armored car, but they're caught by the police, the money disappears, and Noreen is put in jail, firmly believing in the existence of an "inside man" whom she never saw, and who never got caught. Twelve years later, Noreen's out on parole, and everybody's after her to tell them where the missing $3 million is: the cop her arrested her, a mysterious man who's following her, and a handsome co-worker. But Noreen is investigating on her own, and with the help of a friendly accountant, she searches for the inside man. Written by Kathy Li

Can you believe it? A GOOD Canadian TV movie ! Well...
17 July 2002 | by (Toronto, Canada) – See all my reviews

Well, for what it is, it's actually quite entertaining.

Being a huge cynic when it comes to Canadian-Produced films, especially the TV ones from the '90s - which, by what must've been an almost guarantee of revenue, surely weren't created for the purpose of entertaining the viewer - I was very impressed with this one. It's well worth a couple of hours of afternoon or late-night TV vegging.

"Where's the Money Noreen?" boasts a sympathetic lead character, a nice little plot with lots of twists (nothing too complicated or original, but enough to keep you from changing channels during a commercial), and some footage of a younger Colm Feore and That Guy From Santa Barbara.

If you have a chance to catch it, do so! I hope that somebody sometime down the road reads this and heeds my advice!
