KLF IS GONNA ROCK YA!

1995. Isle of Jura, North of Scotland. Former Rock Group The KLF set fire to £1,000,000 of £50 notes whilst being filmed by roadie Gimpo with a handheld 8mm camera. An hour of watching money burn is an interesting thing to watch and brought out a few different emotions. At first I thought of a million uses for the money other than burn it, but it is their money and they seemed to be enjoying burning it. The question my mates kept asking was WHY? A retorical question, I think! That is the purpose of the film, to strike an emotion, some found the film horrific, some found it perverse. To be fair, I found it rather amusing in that there was different reactions from all over the room. So did I enjoy the film? I enjoyed the experience of listening to everyones comments, so does that make it a good film? In one word, YES! I don't think I'd ever watch the film again ALONE, but next time there's a party I'm surely gonna switch it on and let the mayhem begin. 9/10
