Not great, but entertaining Warning: Spoilers
I remember seeing this short animation by the first time included in Around the World with Timon & Pumbaa when I was just a little kid.

For a long time, I used to think it was made exclusively made for that movie, not knowing it had been theatrically released as a companion piece for the live action film "Tom and Huck".

It's basically a humorous music video, with Timon singing a cover of Stand by Me, while Pumbaa is subject to all sort of misfortunes, somewhat reversing the dynamic these characters used to have in their series.

It might not be a great short, but at least was amusing.

6.5/10.

Pretty funny

I remember seeing this on TV when I was a kid, and laughing my head off, even though I kind of felt bad for Pumbaa! Two parts in particular made me laugh, as I recall: 1. When Timon's wading through that pond, singing, while in the background, Pumbaa is attacked by piranhas, then crocodiles, then the Creature from the Black Lagoon. 2. A space shuttle falls on Pumbaa. The door opens, and Pumbaa stumbles out waving a little American flag. I thought it was a pretty funny animated short!

where you can find it

This short film was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen in my entire lifetime on the planet Earth. if you're really interested in seeing it, it can be seen as an added bonus on the Disney movie The Big Green. I would recommend you see it, if you like laughing that is. It's a funny little, well, song video I guess you could call it. Timone sings "Stand By Me" while Pumbaa tries to actually stand by him, and he gets assaulted in a variety of hilarious ways, including hot tar and bees and stuff like that. I wish I actually owned The Big Green, simply for the short. it's that worth it, I'm telling you the truth. If you don't know who Timone and Pumbaa are, they are from Disney's The Lion King.

A bit biased, but I did not like it

Warning: Spoilers
"Stand by Me" is a pretty famous song and here we get the rendition by Timon & Pumbaa from "The Lion King". I must say I quite like the song, but the version we hear in this one is one of the worst I have heard so far. The singing is not great, but the greatness and catchiness of the song still saves it from being a disaster. What we see in here is even more forgettable. I am not even sure I should recommend this to Lion King fans. Yes, it's connected with the film, but it adds nothing really and the frogs we hear at the end are the most random thing ever. I guess they somehow had to make it to three minutes. With "they", I mean director Steve Moore who made this one a few years before his Oscar nomination. He is still a successful filmmaker today. I personally did not enjoy the watch, but then again, i have never been a great Timon (& Pumbaa) fan. Thumbs down, not recommended.

And this has what to do with the song??

Strange short featuring Timon and Pumba from the Disney feature The Lion King. Timon sings the song "Stand by Me" while Pumba is pummeled with various objects. Has only a few funny moments, most the time you'll just sit there wondering who on earth thought this was a good idea.

It's not exactly a movie, more of a music video. It's funny, no make that hilarious!!!! I loved it the first time I saw it and well although what Timon and Pumbaa are doing has nothing to do with the song, it just shows that if they can still be friends no matter what.
