A surprisingly good 'kid'
18 April 2001 | by See all my reviews

Unlike the first Skateboard Kid movie, this one has a point. It's about a boy named Sammy [Trenton Knight of INVISIBLE MOM] who builds a magic skateboard. After a bumpy start, he is soon impressing everybody at the park. Everybody, but the local skateboarding bullies that bully Sammy. When they find out that Sammy has entered the local skateboarding competition, they devise a plan to get rid of him AND his family. While not as comedic as the first movie, it does have a decent cast, moments of cleverness, and lots of good skateboarding tricks!
