Dennis Farina is one of my favorite actors, and he is featured quite a bit in this film. Dennis obviously relished playing an over the top, grizzled, despicable, scumbag bounty hunter and I delighted in watching him.
Dennis Farina is actually a very handsome man, IMO, but you'd never know it from his appearance in this film. BTW his character's name is Charlie Ingle - one "s" away from being Charles Ingles of Little House on the Prairie - which is one of many delightful little pieces of humor in this film, which is supposed to be a drama.
Catherine Mary Stewart, an attractive actress, plays Annie Carver who has a bland, oatmeal-type husband named Michael (played by Scott Valentine)and two goofy kids (a boy and a girl). While both children are old enough to go to school, for some reason the director has them behaving like they're about 2 or 3 years old.
Annie lives in a beautiful house that must cost at least 2.1 million, and drives a Mercedes. She runs a very successful business that has something to do with artwork - it's kept somewhat vague - and it doesn't really matter anyway. Her oatmeal hubby does something in the business world, I don't know what, and it didn't matter either.
What matters is: Annie's world - where everyone tells everyone else in the family 'I love you' about every two minutes of the day - is about to come crashing down.
Charlie Ingle locates Annie, who has a crime in her past, but when he finds her, he's not really interested in turning her over to the police, or even turning her over to the obsessed man from Annie's past who hired him to find her.
Before we're done, we even get treated to an appearance by a man called Lev Petrovich (played by Carston Norgaard), son of the Russian Mafia's godfather. Yes, you read that correctly--this Utah housewife has a Mafia gangster in her past.
Lev has his hair so slicked down I doubt the Petrovich's had a single bottle of cooking oil left in the kitchen!
Six stars out of 10 - I enjoyed it tremendously for it's unintentional humor and convoluted plot.
Definitely a better than average Lifetime movie. Get a big ol' bowl of popcorn, settle back, and let the fun begin.
