Storyline

John Lithgow portrays identical twin brothers Bo and Tom Bradley, both well loved school teachers in the same Long Island school district. Together they are offered an opportunity for a bone marrow transplant from Bo to Tom, who is HIV positive, in order to stop the growth of Tom's HIV infection, or even to cure Tom all together. But just before the day of the surgery, Tom's insurance company refuses to cover the procedure, forcing Bo and Tom to sue the insurance company in a bid to save Tom's life. Also starring Ellen Burstyn and Annette O'Toole, and based on a true story. Written by TrivWhiz

Thanks Mr. Lithgow

I was a student of Mr. Bradley's at Sayville Elementary School. I still have a cup he made for me (and all his other students) at the end of the school year. I was saddened to learn of his passing from this film, but I thank you Mr. Lithgow. You played him with dignity. He was a great teacher and will be sorely missed. This film may not mean much to anyone who didn't know the teachers, but to those of us that did, it was a good film. It tells the story of one man bravely taking on the Insurance industry when they refused to help pay for treatment that could have saved his life. If only they had just payed for it instead of dragging it out in court, he might still be here today.
