• Miscellaneous: During the fight between Johnny Cage and Scorpion in the plantation, a car can be seen in the background.
  
  
• Miscellaneous: During fight scene between Scorpion and Johnny Cage in the plantation, Scorpion releases the creature from under his arm; but when he calls it back, it can be seen that the source is his palm (this happens twice in that scene).
  
  
• Continuity: During the fight in Scorpion's tomb, a hole in the rear of Johnny's pants disappears.
  
  

• Continuity: Liu Kang's hair is suddenly tidy after getting up from being knocked down by Shang Tsung.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: There is no water in the bucket full of water that Liu Kang throws at Sub-Zero.
  
  
• Continuity: Sonya is wearing black jeans and then when she is fighting, she had cut them into shorts. Next time you see her, they are jeans again. She entered the boat not knowing of the competition so she did not have any extra clothes with her.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: During Liu Kang fight with Reptile, when Liu Kang throws reptile against the wall, you can see the wall bend under the weight, as if made of wood, not stone.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In the Liu Kang / Reptile fight, Liu is thrown against a stone stairwell which clearly bends under his weight, like a padded mattress.
  
  
• Continuity: During the Liu Kang/Sub-Zero fight: while face-down, Sub-Zero's back flap is raised, then falls back down on its own.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Before the Johnny Cage vs. Goro fight, Rayden appears "magically" as Goro walks by. But the actor can be seen trying to walk in to the shot behind Goro unnoticed. He comes in just over Goro's arm in the top left corner.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: After Shang Tsung tells a statueesque Reptile to watch over Princess Kitana, Reptile animates and jumps away. However, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa looks down at the jumping Reptile before he/it actually jumps.
  
  
• Miscellaneous: When Subzero and Liu Kang are fighting on the higher platform they switch places. Subzero walks to the right and Liu does a spin kick. The kick is dodged but there is still the sound of an impact.
  
  
• Miscellaneous: Subzero flips down from the platform followed by Liu Kang. On the floor, Liu kicks Subzero. Subzero falls to the ground and after he falls he rolls once more. The kick wasn't that hard and it's clearly visible that the extra roll was forced.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Kano is talking to Goro, Kano's cup which he is drinking out of is knocked over by Goro. The next scene which is a face shot of Kano it is back. Then the cup is missing.
  
  
• Continuity: During the fight scene in the dining hall (where we see Kano eating and talking to Goro), Johnny Cage pulls a weapon out of the hands of one of the guards. In the next shot of him, where he's kicking another guard in the head, the weapon is not in his hands. In the last shot of him (forcing him into Sonya's out-stretched arm to knock him out), the weapon is back in Cage's hands.
  
  
• Continuity: When Sonya is pushing her way through the crowd at the club to get to Kano, in close up shots with Bridgette Wilson her face is clean. In long shots when her double is used, it looks like she's wearing camouflage.
  
  
• Continuity: When Kano was eating chicken on a drumstick, the amount of chicken on the drumstick varies inconsistently between shots.
