Milan Luthria’s film The Dirty Picture has gained a large amount of media coverage and increasing interest from an audience waiting to see Vidya Balan in her new avatar. In The Dirty Picture, which is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Vidya plays southern sex siren Silk Smitha, but less is known about the characters of her male co-stars. Emraan Hashmi’s character has been kept under tight wraps, but it is rumored that the actor, who is touted to play a negative role, is in fact playing none other than his uncle Mahesh Bhatt.
During production, Milan had revealed that Emraan’s was to play a character who hated Silk Smitha but yet was to feature in some personal scenes with Vidya’s character. Although no official announcement has been made by those involved in the film, a source has claimed that his character is based on producer-director Mahesh Bhatt.

May 14, 2010: Today’s generation may not really be aware of the talent called Manisha Koirala that had once made the entire industry stand up and notice her. The gorgeous woman who is on the verge of getting married was once a pretty girl who was launched with much fanfare by showman Subhash Ghai in ‘Saudagar’ (1991). This terrific kick start was followed by a spree of indifferent films that Manisha did. Except for ‘Yalgaar’, there was nothing much to show for Manisha who saw a dip in her career despite working with Rishi Kapoor (Anmol), Ajay Devgn (Dhanwan) and Jackie Shroff (Milan).
