Rebecca Hall Donates Salary From Woody Allen Movie to Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund
Actress Rebecca Hall said on Friday that, because of sexual abuse allegations, she regrets working with Woody Allen, and is donating proceeds from her work with the filmmaker to prove it.

Hall, who starred in Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” in 2008 and his upcoming “A Rainy Day in New York,” posted a photo of the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund logo to Instagram on Friday. In the caption, wrote that the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal made her reevaluate and apologize for her decision to work with Allen, who has been accused of sexually assaulting his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow when she was seven years old.

Page Six reports the movie stars Law as a middle-aged married man who “makes a fool of himself over every ambitious starlet and model.” The 44-year-old character allegedly has a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old “concubine,” played by Fanning.

According to Page Six: “In the scene, the so-called concubine acknowledges her relationship with Law’s much-older character, but then protests that she is 21 years old. After a discussion about his infidelity, Fanning’s character then asks Law, ‘Were all these women for pleasure, or were you researching a project?'”

The New Yorker published an expose on movie mogul Harvey Weinstein on Tuesday that alleges the producer raped three women. The report follows an Oct. 5 New York Times investigation documenting three decades of sexual harassment allegations against Weinstein.

Ronan Farrow spent 10 months interviewing 13 women who claim they were assaulted or harassed by Weinstein. The New Yorker article contains on-the-record accounts from actresses who reported Weinstein forcibly received or performed sexual acts on women. More actresses are going on the record with accusations that they are victims of Harvey Weinstein's unwanted sexual advances.

In an explosive The New Yorker report published on Tuesday, journalist Ronan Farrow tells the stories of multiple women who at some point worked with the studio mogul, their allegations ranging from sexual harassment to rape. A spokesperson for Weinstein, Sallie Hofmeister, issued a statement to The New Yorker in response to the allegations, and said Weinstein denies any allegations of non-consensual sex.

“Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances," the statement reads.
