Storyline

It was a normal night in Las Vegas, Nevada, all the lights were flashing brightly, until a man with one hand, one eye, and one leg walks into a pawn shop with a statue of a hideous looking Leprechaun. The owner claims it's a good luck charm. The statue also wore a medallion around it's neck. The careless pawn shop owner took off the medallion setting the Leprechaun free, along with his pot of gold that everyone wants and like before, he'll kill anyone who goes near it. Driving into town that night was a young man named Scott who was off to L.A. to go to school. Along the way he meets a sarcastic, but friendly, girl named Tammy. Scott tries gambling but loses everything, so he goes to the pawn shop to pawn his Rolex watch. At the shop, he finds the dead owner and one of Leprechaun's gold coins that grants a wish to its finder. Scott wishes for a winning streak, but what he does not know is that the casino is run by a crooked man who hates to lose. Also in the casino is an ignorant and ... Leprechaun 3

The leprechaun takes his gold shillings to Las Vegas in "Leprechaun 3". It starts off in a pawn shop in Las Vegas, we see that the leprechaun we know and love is stone-like - captured thanks to a magical golden medallion put around his neck. It comes off somehow, and when it does the Leprechaun comes alive and begins his terror! We get introduced to our main characters Scott and Tammy who meet on the Vegas strip. Tammy works in a Casino which is perfect for Scott because he's looking to gamble. He ends up with one of the Leprechaun's magical gold coins which he uses to win at the roulette table, leading to many of the shady casino staff questioning him and trying to steal his winnings. All the while, the Leprechaun is killing people left, right, and center

  • mostly in hilariously evil ways. It's up to Scott and Tammy to stop

him before he takes over Vegas!

I LOVE this movie, it works on so many levels. First off, I love that they shot it in Vegas. It plays well to the script and adds a fun feel to the mayhem that the Leprechaun causes. And boy is this sequel funny. The one liners that the leprechaun shoots out are out of this world hilarious. Leprechaun 3 is in my eyes the funniest in the franchise. I liked the added "rules" of the gold shilling and it's magical powers. We learn that if someone takes a leprechaun's gold, they will be granted with ONE wish. They used a similar rule with uncle Morty in 'Leprechaun 2', but it's a bit different here. The coin gets passed around to so many people in this third film, and each time they wish for something, the leprechaun twists their wish around and kills them with it. It's a lot like 'Wishmaster' in that sense. The acting is good from everyone involved, but Warwick Davis steals the show in this one. His witty lines are top notch. And there is quite a bit of gore and squeamish moments in 'Leprechaun 3', more so than the previous installments.

I recommend this to everyone. It has laughs, it has gore, it has the Leprechaun doing an Elvis impersonation... Check this one out, because sadly it's the last of the really good Lep movies. Next, we're off to see the Leprechaun in space.
