The film also stars Vincent D’Onofrio (The Magnificent Seven, TV’s Daredevil and Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas), Camila Morrone, Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) and Kimberly Elise (The Great Debaters). Bruce Willis is Out For Brutal Revenge in The First Trailer For Death Wish

"They came for his family. Now he's coming for them."

Bruce Willis shoots people first and asks questions later in this first trailer for the remake of Death Wish. He goes on a killing spree of revenge after his wife is murdered. The movie was directed by Eli Roth, and this is a different kind of film for him. Roth is mostly known for the horror films that he's made. Death Wish is more of an action-thriller, an action-thriller that involves lots of killing. So, it seems like something Roth would enjoy making.

I'm not the biggest fan of Roth, but I enjoy watching Bruce Willis movies and the screenplay was written ben Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces, The A-Team, The Grey). Those are the two main reasons that I'll end up watching this movie. Judging by the trailer, the movie looks like it could be fun an entertaining, but it

Bruce Willis Has a ‘Death Wish’ in First Trailer for Eli Roth’s Remake

After reveling in the horror genre for virtually all of his directorial career, Eli Roth is switching gears slightly with his next project as he heads into action-thriller territory with a remake of 1974’s Death Wish. Scripted by Joe Carnahan and starring Bruce Willis, the first trailer has now arrived ahead of a November release.

“We wanted to bring back that great, classic Bruce Willis we all know and love and just do a fun, badass update of a revered classic,” Roth told Yahoo! Movies. “I wanted to bring Bruce back to that Fifth Element, Unbreakable, Die Hard glory and have him craft another iconic performance, and I really think he did it. I mean I really think this can be his Taken. The fun is watching him go crazy and watching someone slowly move the moral goal post.”

Also starring Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris,

Nicolas Cage Slammed by Human Rights Group Over Kazakhstan Visit
The photo of Nicolas Cage posing with Kazakhstan First Lady Sara Nazarbayeva that emerged this week might have amused many social-media users, but the Human Rights Foundation isn’t laughing. Human Rights Foundation president Thor Halvorssen issued a statement tearing into the actor Wednesday, accusing the “Leaving Las Vegas” star of boosting a dictatorship’s image. According to the Foundation, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev “has systematically oppressed the civil liberties of Kazakh citizens.” The foundation cited a 2011 massacre of dozens of peaceful protesters, and a government crack-down on independent news outlets, including the arrests of editors and reporters on “overbroad and vague.

Robb Sheppard Jul 7, 2017

Once again, for this week's Geeks Vs Loneliness, we're eschewing our usual introduction, that you can find on the 100+ other posts in this series (some links can be found further down the page). Instead, we're handing over to Robb, who asked us if he could write a piece entitled 'alchohol, depression and movies: the trilogy of my 20s'). With a fair smattering of film quotes - just in case the context isn't clear - here it is. Huge thanks to you, Robb...

Detour review

  • HeyUGuys
Author: Hannah Woodhead

The latest in the proud American tradition of road trip movies, Detour sees Tye Sheridan’s despondent Californian teen Harper bullied into a misguided mission to Las Vegas by the nefarious Johnny (Emory Cohen) and his wide-eyed accomplice Cherry (Bel Powley). Harper suspects his stepfather (Stephan Moyer) has had a hand in the accident that’s left his mother in a coma, and in a drunken moment of madness, hires Johnny to kill him. It’s a fairly formulaic plot that at first could be mistaken for Fargo in the desert – and although it lacks the nuance and brilliant dialogue found in the Coen Brother’s classic film, in Detour, director and writer Christopher Smith works hard way to breathe new life into a road oft-travelled, but there always feels like something’s off.

Combining the sluggish feel of the vast Californian highway with a sense of impending dread,

What is James Franco Reading?

A extensive look at all those movies James Franco directed.

James Franco has done a lot of things, we’ve heard. Following a successful turn on Judd Apatow’s Freaks and Geeks and a well-received starring spot on a TNT biopic on James Dean, he turned immediately to a litany of pursuits: from playwriting and English degrees to painting and directing no less than ten feature-lengths. The latter project interested me. Were they any good? In Franco’s Rolling Stone profile last year, Jonah Weiner ran around a thesaurus of words like “dizzying,” “indefatigable“ and, wait for it, “multihyphenate” to describe his subject but none of those words mean very much. Paul Klee painted over a thousand paintings in the penultimate last year of his life. So could I. So what?

“What did we do to deserve James Franco?,” asked Rex Reed in a slightly different era. Back then, even the The Guardian agreed with Jared Kushner
