Last Lines for this film
29 January 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Here is how I think the last lines for this film should have gone: Judge: Will the defendant please rise? Ladies and gentleman of the jury, have you reached a verdict? Jury foreman: Yes, your honor, we have! We the jury find the defendant, Katherine Liner Pettit not guilty. Judge: Before we leave, there's something else that I wanted to say. How many of you have been hit? Who among you beats their wives? Well, this is against the law. This is wrong. And you know what? You watched it happen to the defendant, Katherine Liner Pettit and you did nothing. You have a responsibility to the people that you care about. When you see them hurting her, you see them in trouble, you step in and you tell someone so that this does not happen again. Court is adjourned. Marian Pettit: We're sorry for your pain. Charles Pettit: Let's go. Katie Liner: You always said tomorrow would be a better day, Jimmy. I guess tomorrow never came for us. I'm going to make tomorrow better for both of you. I promise.
