All of the sex is violent. Almost all of the scenes revolve around sex.

All descriptions of sex in this film include the four-letter words to describe the acts and body parts. Along the way, the F-word is used twenty-three times, and the S-word is used ten times. A derogatory word for a gay man is used twice.

One scene includes pills. Another includes a heroin injection. Several scenes include cigarettes and alcohol. There is a scene of a woman blowing cigarette smoke into a teenage boy's mouth.

Scenes that would otherwise be intense are shot in such a cold, distanced manner that they become almost clinical. Their lack of intensity makes them all the more disturbing.

Still, there are particular scenes that build enough suspense to pack a wallop even though you know exactly what is going to happen.

Most of the violent sequences are pretty unnerving, but it's often hard to figure out why.
