I really enjoyed this movie...Mary Lou Henner did a great job and I'm really glad that she is helping to get this message out to people. That slime-ball Ellard will hopefully get raped and killed by a guy named hubba...no for real maybe there is a chance he will find God and repent of what he did before it is to late. I feel a lot of remorse for the cousin and the teenage girls that were slain by Ellard. The Vocal foundation sounds like it is a great place to go for victims and there families. Recently Nancy Conn Mcrreary wanted to let a few rapist out on parole....on this issue I say "if a person has sincerely has made a life change and they have valid reason, served time, and are really looking like they have made a change in life, let them out."

Excellent true story

I totally disagree with the last comments made. This has to be the best true story I've seen. The actors are all fantastic and make you believe the horrors that actually happened. At 89 minutes the movie isn't typically long. Just when you think its going to end there is another twist to the story. I watched this movie this morning and was glued to the screen the whole time. I'd give it 8 out of 10. Definately a movie to watch.

Long and boring but good acting by Savant

A rather long and boring piece, saved only by the fact that the story is true and the amazing acting by Doug Savant as the rather crazy Ellard fellow.

Many things in the film seems illogical and are only explained by Ellards madness, but as it is based on reality maybe that was the way it happened.

I'll give this movie 4 out of 10

i found this movie very compelling being a rape victim it helped me a lot to know how my rights came into affect. thank you Nancy Conn for standing up for women's rights. i can not believe so many people think they can get away with these terrible crimes, haven't they learned that the police have so much technology and other ways of catching them they have virtually no chance of getting away with it. i guess these sick people have this gene that they are born with and either it triggers itself or there is something that happens in their life that triggers it for them. but they need to learn that they can change it with the proper help and motivation. i just wish more women had the courage to come forward and fight against their attackers instead of hiding away and pretending that it did not happen. i believe that is what drives most women to insanity or suicide. i have been on the verge of both of them but i have learn to stand up for myself and fight for what i know is right i recommend this movie to anyone who has been involved in a violent crime directly or indirectly. it is one that will help you get through your troubles and help you figure out what you need to do. thank you once again to Nancy Conn. god bless

Peri Gilpin and Marilu Henner are Excellent!

I give this movie 10 out of 10 stars. It's excellent. Peri Gilpin and Marilue Henner give excellent performances. Their portrayals of the real life women are excellent. I know this because I've read about the real story.

I feel so sorry for Nancy and Charolette. Nancy was definitely going to marry the man she was in love with. Charolette was already engaged and this f-ing asshole Richard Mark Ellard had to take all their happiness from them. (Sorry about the language, but he really is one.) Here were two women who were just having a good time together, just going to their car, just minding their own business. He should have been electrocuted, there should have been no plea bargain.

Although, the movie was very well made. Great acting, costumes, production, script, directing and photography. Kudos to the cast, crew and filmmakers. Two Thumbs Way Up!

This is a must see Movie!

I thought this Movie was Excellent. It held my attention from beginning to end and I felt it was Directed very well. The title of this Movie is very appropriate in it's context relating to the theme of the movie. I felt really connected to the Victim and was cheering her on in her fight to justice. The Actor that portrayed the Perpetrator gave an excellent as well as believable performance as well. I have always been compelled to watch True-based Dramas and this Movie is my first to add to my favorites list. This movie also gave me the heads up so to speak on Henners acting capacity. I've never seen her in anything but a comedy type role. So, I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see her branch out into a complete opposite Character portrayal.
