Storyline

The story of the relationship between a friendly postwoman and a man who finds the world so distasteful that he has has not left his apartment for seven years. Joseph spends his time obsessively monitoring and archiving stories of crime, disaster, and tragedy, living for the exact moment when Julie delivers his daily batch of newspapers. When she is transferred to another route, his mail is no longer brought to his door, and he must find a way to reach her and to understand why his world is out of control. Julie, in turn, is determined to understand the source of his paranoia and to reach the man she is sure he used to be. A proposed camping trip to the mountains is the catalyst for a dramatic change in both their lives. Written by Anne Chenette <anne@cray.com>

This is one of the most underrated movies of Hollywood and it's such a shame. The writing and Directing are superb! Blue Skies are a Lie stars Keith Brunsmann and is incredible. If you are looking for a real movie without the Hollywood extra added sauces, this is the movie for you. It's very difficult to find it, but it is worth the find. It is a pure and very realistic movie. For me, who is a self proclaimed major critic, it's probably one of the best movies I've seen come out of Hollywood. There is no swearing (not that I'm a prude) and no sex (ditto as the last comment); It is the true essence of what film should be.....it does not need to add any distractions like swearing, special effects or sex to be great (no 3 "S"'s here). It hold's it's weight and is terrific. Keith, who I was lucky enough to hang out with at the Vancouver International Film Festival back when the movie premiered, is not only a doll in person, but he is a great actor who I find very underrated and I am very surprised he has not made it big yet; his time will come! This is a must see movie for serious movie goers who are tired of watching the same old come out of Hollywood.
