Parents Guide for
Bad Boys (1995) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

One of the title characters wakes up w/ his wife after a long night and lifts up the cover for her. (it is implied he has an erection)

A masseuse comes to Mike's house in undergarments and a silk see-through gown.

The two cops enter a club and see exotic dancers wearing little.

Some mild-moderate sexual references, sometimes with sexual uses of the f-word.

Violence & Gore

There is a frequent amount of intense action violence in the form of car chases and fistfights but there are stronger moments of violence such as:

A man is shot and falls out of a van.

A man is killed with a spike through his neck (a quick scene, with no blood).

During an extended scene a man shoots a woman and she falls into a glass table resulting in a fair amount of blood; the killer then shoots another man many times in the torso and chest and there is blood (this scene is very violent and long).

A bloodied corpse with maggots crawling on it is shown.

There is an intense shootout, complete with explosions and all sorts of large-scale collateral damage. Numerous people are shot with gory wounds. A couple of people catch fire, including one instance in which the fire turns into blood spray.

A man is shot repeatedly in the torso, complete with a lot of spurting blood.

There are moments in the film where time goes by with little to no coarse language, but there are also moments of very frequent and often aggressive uses of fuck, motherfucker, shit, etc. Also 1 use of nigger. 80 f-words

The heroes are narcotics cops. The bad guys steal an enormous amount of heroin from the police. This heroin is shown and mentioned many times (in "brick" form as well as powder). It is implied that one character had been using it (His sniffing and his attempts to cover it up when guests arrive are implications).

There is some minor drinking during a club scene, and another scene inside a liquor store (but no drinking).

Some of the content can be very scary at parts (see violence and gore) but is okay otherwise.
