Sanju's puma years
19 October 2009 | by (India) – See all my reviews

1994-1999 were a bad period for Sanju Baba as post his jail period most of his films were flopping till HASEENA MAAN JAYEGI(1999) In fact Sanju being in jail during 1993- 1995 couldn't dub for this film and also JAI VIKRAANTA released in 1995

Many old many years in making films too released post his comeback from jail

Well coming to this film

This film is Sanju- Govinda's 3rd film after TAAQATWAR and DO QAIDI released in 80's which didn't work This was their non comedy together

The film is the routine action film which were seen lot those days Sadly it didn't find takers The film had shades of DEEWAAR too in the way both brothers go in different ways though here in the end they both live and kill the villain together

The movie starts off like a routine comedy first with focus on college campus which were in 90's seen a lot Then it becomes an action film and also patriotic film

The conflict between the brothers is akin to DEEWAAR and the climax isn't novel either,

There are some funny scenes to watch though unintentional like in the climax where Govinda stops Mohan Joshi from going in a plane LOL the plane looks like a bad set Even Sanju baba catching a car which Rami Reddy tries to drive and then Rami gets off and he leaves the car, the car follows Rami half way and anothe 1 where Sanju suddenly comes out from the mud and catches Rami and the end in a graveyard where all the villain esemble

Direction by Aziz Sajewal is routine Music is okay

Amongst actors Sanju repeats his action hero role which he did many times and is good, but his dubbing by Chetan Shashital doesn't suit him Govinda too does his part excellently and shows he can act in serious roles Mamta Kulkarni and Somy Ali fit in the heroine roles Amongst rest Vikram Gokhale is as usual while Rami Reddy, Ishrat Ali, Mohan Joshi are the typecast villains
