One fine morning, Consuelo is compelled to find an excuse to speak with her neighbor. She asks him for some sugar, and then starts discussing gardening. Entertaining black humor with star power
18 March 2000 | by (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) – See all my reviews

AMORES QUE MATAN is an unusual Spanish comedy with amusing black humor. Rather than the urban setting of most Spanish comedies, the setting here is in the affluent suburbs, not unlike the American variety. Two neighbors (Carmen Maura and Juanjo Puigcorbe') meet, while Maura's character's husband (Jean Pierre Casell) is away on business. Bizarre but hilarious situations ensue, which keep one highly entertained during the film's 90 minutes.
