It is impossible to tell where the Evas are housed and launched from. Launch shafts can be seen in several episodes - mostly straight, but with several angled sections - which imply that it must be somewhere between the Earth's surface and the ceiling of the GeoFront. However, in episode 19, it is shown that Eva cages are at the HQ level (at the bottom of the GeoFront). Moreover, it takes only a minor amount of time for the characters to travel from HQ to the Eva cages (as in episodes 1 and 6). See more »
I never knew what great anime was, until I saw Evangelion! Everything about it is breathtaking, the action, the adventure, the awesome EVA's and angels, the cool characters (I like Asuka, Misato, Shinji and Rei best), even the humor (Pen Pen is sooo cute!!!) My friend says I even (kind of) resemble Asuka, from the hair, to the attitude. (Though I haven't graduated from college...) I've only seen the first ten episodes, since the videos and DVD's are so hard to find in my town. If you want an anime that'll take your breath away, get this, you will seriously not be disappointed! Warning-it has some nudity and graphic violence so it's probably best for teens and older.
