Plot Summary
|

Storyline
When the Angels start attacking the planet Earth in the year 2015, only a handful of 14-year-old EVA pilots are able to stop them. The weak-minded Shinji Ikari suddenly finds himself forced to pilot EVA-01, a giant organic mecha, designed and constructed by NERV, that is the only thing that can stop the Angels. Trivia
In 1998 GAINAX Company was audited by the National Tax Agency for concealing revenue from various Evangelion properties. In their findings, it was discovered GAINAX had concealed 1.56 billion yen worth of income (thereby failing to pay 560 million yen due in corporate taxes) which it had earned between the release of Evangelion and July 1997. Eventually then GAINAX president Takeshi Sawamura and studio tax accountant Yoshikatsu Iwasaki were arrested on 13 July 1999 for tax fraud. See more »Goofs

Whether you enjoy the world of anime or not this is an experience you must have before you die. Nothing else in the world is like it. For the sake of your personal experience I cannot tell you much about it and here's why. The first 20 some episodes you are immersed in the semi-futuristic world of Tokyo 3 and the characters are developed beautifully, some of the best character development I've ever witnessed. You get a very very good feel for the world and the situation they live in, only to have that blown away in the final episodes. Please for the sake of yourself watch this, from the start, you will not regret it.
Hideaki Anno has conceived of a story more important to my life than any other.
Hideaki Anno is pure genius.
