By his own admission, Mark Roberts has had a lucky career. He began as a stand-up in Chicago, and was soon spotted by a casting director who helped him land work in commercials and "every movie that filmed in Chicago." Sitcom work soon followed, including a series regular gig on the Tea Leoni series "The Naked Truth," before Roberts chose to pursue writing, his true passion. His 2000 play "Couples Counseling Killed Katie," starring Roberts and Jessica Tuck, caught the eye of producer Chuck Lorre, who went on to hire him as a writer and producer on "Two and a Half Men." Roberts and Lorre would then go on to create "Mike and Molly," which won an Emmy last year for star Melissa McCarthy. Two "Iron Man" movies, plus two interpretations of "The Hulk," plus "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" have led up to one of the most anticipated -- and teased -- superhero epics in cinematic history: "The Avengers."
Director Joss Whedon has miraculously melded together the different mythologies of these characters for a team-up that gives each character his or her due, yet still feels cohesive: a story about defeating Thor's half-brother Loki before he obliterates the Earth, now that he's gained access to the unlimited power of the Cosmic Cube, or Tesseract.

If you liked some or all of the individual superhero films that led up to "The Avengers, »

For those of us who grew up during the "Little Mermaid," "Aladdin" and "Beauty and the Beast" era of Disney films, the re-releasing of these childhood classics hits on some very nostalgic nerves. At least for this writer, anyway. I have very specific childhood memories tied to all of those animated classics and am looking forward to seeing "Beauty and the Beast 3D" during its limited release (which began today).
Anyway, in thinking about the magic involved in this film - the first animated movie ever to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar- I can't help but wonder about the talented voice actors who brought the characters to life. Where are they now? Click through to see what the actors who brought Belle, Beast and Mrs. Potts to life are up to now.
